The Town of Bluffton currently contracts with Waste Management for curbside trash pickup and this service is included for Town of Bluffton residents.
You have access to the Bluffton Police Department which is separate from the Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office. Beaufort County Sherrif’s cover the entire county whereas Bluffton Police cover just the Town limits.
You have access to discounted rental rates for Town parks and facilities. A great example is the New Riverside Red Barn you can rent in Bluffton for weddings and events by the 170 Traffic Circle – the daily rental rate is $2000 for in town residents and $4000 for Beaufort County residents. Field of the dreams at Oscar Frazier park is $250 per day for residents and $500 per day for non-residents.
Some argue the permitting process can be much simpler and quicker for review if living within the Town of Bluffton limits. Let’s say you want to put in a pool. Less applications to process compared to Beaufort County.
